I made a last-minute trip to Zermatt and needed a place to stay that was reasonable and close to the train station. Since I only stayed one night, I could not utilize the amenities offered at the hotel, but what I said looked terrific. The Breakfast was excellent, with great, healthy options. The room was much bigger than I expected, which was great, and the wooden panels throughout gave it that "Swiss" chalet feel. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large, clean and up-to-date. The price point was very reasonable for Zermatt, which is expensive by its Swiss nature. The staff was great and I have nothing but positivity for this place.

Travelling

The breakfast provided a good variety of both hot and cold items. The Spa was amazing - the heated indoor-outdoor pool was perfect - with loads of jets for hitting those sore muscles from a day of hard skiing. The sauna and steam rooms were nice, and nothing was overcrowded. Reception always had a basket of nice sweets, which was a nice touch - and the staff always gave a nice, friendly smile when I caught was dipping in for another sugar hit. The ski shuttle bus was only a couple minutes walk away at the grocery store.

I would like to commend the following staff for their excellent customer service : Denis, Asya, Emi at the Front desk and Laia in the Dining Room. I was also very grateful that my computer charger that I had forgotten in my room, was found by the chambermaid and returned to me at check-out.

Heated floor in the bathroom and great insulation made the room very comfortable temperature-wise while it was snowing outside.

As experienced travelers, we were blown away by the style, quality, and functionality of the room and common areas. It exemplified a fresh mount retreat. The location was great-very close to the "downtown" action, but enout removed from the noise. The Matterhorn view from the rooms is spectacular.
